Put the longer receiver tube underneath a same-sized square tube cut flush with the ends of the two angle iron pieces. Weld all together at both ends and along the top and bottom joints. Drill 2 holes in the top flange of each angle iron to match the existing holes in the bottom of the PW rear cross member. Bolt the receiver assembly in place.

It's plenty strong. It does not interfere with operation of the rear belt pulley. The extended receiver tube is low enough to allow the pintle hook latch to operate if and when a pintle hook replaces the rear pillow block assembly. Cast eyes are installed in place of the two rearmost bolts to provide attachment points for trailer safety chains.

When no longer needed, the receiver assembly can be quickly removed without damage or any permanent scars, returning the Power Wagon to its original condition. A practical yet sympathetic solution.
