After checking your various connections,understand that high current draw on a hot start is commonly indicative of worn starter bushings.

Too many people replace brushes, but not bushings. It was common to see a 400 amp or greater current draw on a hot start on typical size V8 engines, when the normal draw should have been around 110 amps.

Bushings are cheap and easy to replace. If you know nothing about this starter, have it rebuilt at a local starter/generator shop.
