A related "loan to museum story". I have a friend who's grandfather was a hall of fame pitcher. Her family had a baseball that was signed by 5-6 Presidents.
The ball was loaned to the Baseball Hall of Fame, and was then stolen (inside job).
Quite a saga involving many years and struggle before they finally got the ball back.
Point being is to be very careful and have a lawyer check the agreement so that you are totally covered if there is theft or damage of any kind.
