The water inlet is high on the block. The water dist tube holes are all pointed up. The out let is on the top of the head. Without pulling the plugs, you get diddly flow down low, Besides, he's already got the whole front clip off.
I've done it your way, and soon after wards the freeze plgs had to be replaced. (use brass) Rmoving the plugs showed how poorly your way worked.
