If you find someone heading south with an empty or partially loaded trailer, you should be able to get well under the $1 per mile mark. The key is patience and waiting for somebody who's heading south anyway.
The good thing is your rolling frame is relatively light. The bad thing is it's going to take up about the same room as a complete vehicle. At least, it's not likely to be damaged.
Try posting on the hauling schedule of yesterdaystractors.com Stay away from brokers. It's like dealing with used car salesmen. Don't put out any money up front.
It will help to have the weight and all the dimensions readily available.
