Henry Ford instituted some rather anti-Jewish policies concerning Ford dealers. He thought the public would be less apt to buy from a Jewish dealer, plus who knows whatever personal reasons he had.
As a result, many Jews refused to buy a Ford, and many flocked to Dodge (and other makes).
Even to this day, about a half century after henry passed on, there are Jews and Jewish families who still refuse to buy a Ford.
