A good, honest source of Mopar info can be found from the Hi-performance MOPAR mag. They also tell of design flaws and other such details about mopars.Surprisingly, chevy & ford had some of the same ideas as chrysler but would let chrysler put it on the market first to see what bugs it had and then redesign correcting the flaw leaving chrysler with the reputation as a lemon. According to HPM, chrysler came out with a type of electronic fuel injection in the mid or late 50s but the idea was ahead of the tech and the cars were recalled and retrofitted with carbs. If you had one of those units today, you could be a wealthy man.
According to HPM, at first the 340 had head chamber design problems and chrysler used a chevy head chamber design until they got theirs worked out.I recomend the Hi-performance Mopar mag. for those who like MOPAR trivia and historical info. They give you the facts and don't seem to hide mopar blunders or flaws, what little there are.
