i got my 59 w 200 today what a cool old truck i got my mom to drop me off to pick it up the guy i bought it from bought it from a guy in monana "origonal owner"
he used it on his ranch.
the guy i got it from drove it here to dallas and used it for some years well now its mine i was in shock driving this thing home and killed it a cupple of times, ran the bat down, and had to call the guy i bought it from for a jump
he was kind enoph to come give me a jump
it fired up and i made it home
still in shock i try to drive it up into
my shop/house and killed it and ren the bat down again after a jump i made it up into my shop and uloded an extra moter out of the bed put a new bigass battery in and went out for some practice driving , what a beast
i slowly am getting the hang of it
it pops out of second gear it feals like a linkage thing to me but you just hold it in
i took my two rommates for a romp arond oak cliff and went to some freinds houses to see the looks on there faces thay all think im loseing it its a big change from my little respnsible toyota my pour mom her face was the best
well by the time i road around for a bit and sprayed some carbcleaner on and down the carb and setting the idel up a bit it started running farly well at least i could drive it with out killing it at stops
then we took it for a little ride in the trinity river bottoms to run the 4wheel gears a bit to see how thay sound or felt
what a beast we climbed a few hills and drove along a trail all the gears feal fine as far as i can tell exept it pops out of second the stearing linkege need some atention its a little sloppy but seem to work ok as a mater of fact i was amased how easely this big hevey truck sters
the brakes also need a little work
any way i had a blast today messing with my new truck
