I think you guys are going too easy on this seller. If this truck were really original, the price would still be very high. But it is clearly not original and therefore is being misrepresented. It may not be the fault of the seller in the sense that he may have been told these fibs but at such a price, he has an obligation to check.
It's a fair bet that there are lots of "subtitutions" in this truck besides the strange winch mount and some sort of cobbled-up bed. As someone else pointed out, that shock looks old, which suggests that the truck was not really gone through, just retouched on the surface. The amount of polish, and the mismatch of colors say the same thing.
If the mods work, there's nothing wrong except that he shouldn't try to pass it off as original.
