I don't know about the 230 but as for the 251 listed in my "S" series
Technical Service Manual for DODGE TRUCKS,models 100-600 says that the compression pressure should be 115-145 psi
Max. variation between cylinders should not be more than 15 psi.
Fuel, spark, and compression are the three essentials needed for a gas engine to run.
Any two cylinders ajoining with an overall lower compression pressure than the other cylinders might make the head gasket suspect.It might be leaking and ready to blow out between these two cylinders.
