Engine interchange

I rescued a rusty power wagon from a salvage yard. From the serial number, it appears to be a 1956 C-4-PW. It has a 251 that someone put in by moving the radiator support forward about 2 inches and making a crude extension for the radiator shell. The engine is stuck and I have found a good engine in a 1948 Dodge 2 ton truck. This engine is the same length as the 251. Does anyone know if this will fit my power wagon?
