Years ago Nissan opened a plant here in the UK, and announced that they wouldn't be employing anyone over the age of 35 because they wouldn't 'fit the company profile'
I thought "well you can stuff your cars then !" and I've held to that thought ever since.
The UK used to have a big truck, car and motorcycle industry, but what's left of it now belongs either to the Japanese, the Germans, or the Americans (make that the American's accountants)
You can't do anything about it other than make your feelings known and vote with your money - works for me.
Dodge don't currently retail in the UK, or if they do I never see them, but D/C product is all over the place.
I'll stick to my old Dodges, made before the accountants got their claws in, but don't think it's just a U.S. problem.
