T245 was the engineering code for the M37 series of vehicles. T245A was the code for the M37B1 series. This series includes the M37, M42, M43, M53, M56, V41, M201, the B1 equivalents and XM708, R-2 Crash Truck and others.

T202, T211, T214 & T215 were common engine codes for 4x4 Dodges from WWII.

T112 was a common code for 4x2 Dodges from that era.

The number after the code is the engine assembly number, like a serial number, but it has nothing in common with the VIN number. It would be highly unusual to have your original engine in an M37 anyway. If you look in the M37 manual, they have changes by VIN, but also some are listed by engine assembly number.
