I'm putting a 2-bbl 318 in my M37. I'm going to see what I can whittle up for an adaptor for the original fording oil bath filter to fit the 2-bbl carb.

I suspect the military, as is typical, over-engineered the oil bath filter so it would flow even when filled with choking dust and sand. It is far bigger than most six-cylinders need, Thus, it may still flow well enough for the 318 if I faithfully clean it.

I'll make a report sometime this summer if all goes well with the V-8 conversion on how well the air cleaner worked.
