Major components common to WC 3/4 and WDX. Front bumpers, winch, front axle, engine, transmission, PTO, steering gear.

WC used long front frame on winch models; WDX used frame extenders. WC had single speed transfer; WDX had two speed with 1.96:1 low (WC62/63 had 1.5 low). WC wheelbase 98"; WDX 126". WC had centered differential on rear axle; WDX's was off center to right side. WC had "knee action" shocks; WDX had tubular.

Product improvement had a low priority in military production but did take place in the throughout the post war trucks. There are many other minor parts that were not the same but can be "tweaked" to work. M-37's have less parts in common with the WC and WDX trucks.
