I had a frozen speedo on my 59 TW and took it to Paul's Speedometer shop in Redondo Beach, CA. I pulled the speedo and cable out myself. It cost $60 to replace the rusted cable and $60 to repair speedo. I have no idea if this was a deal or not but the speedo has worked correctly ever since. It took him a few days to fix.
