Being "righteous" and all, I just don't feel that a company bears the responsibility for someone making a poor choice. If the product is defective, then that's a different story. But, if it works as designed, then it's not their problem. It was your choice. Try returning your new car if you are not 100 per cent satisfied.

My neighbor asked me for my dead plants so he could return them to Lowes for new ones. He bought two gallons of milk at Costco and when he got home he didn't have room in the refrigerator. He returned the milk to Costco for a refund. Obviously, they had to throw it away.

He doesn't understand that the consumer has some responsibility for what they buy. Otherwise, when we go to return an item for a good reason, we will see more and more "restocking" fees.

The reason the clerk wanted to describe the problem as a "defective" reversing switch is that, "I just don't like it", isn't a good enough reason.
