Yeah, we were all supposed to be like Dick Tracy, plus George Jetson, plus Flash Gordon by now. But we did finally get the "two-way wrist TV", if you glue your cell phone to your watch.
Personally, I was really looking forward to the home-sized nuclear furnaces and microwave room heaters (heats the people but not the furniture), but maybe that's just because I live in a cold place.
On the other hand, we're still not eating soylent green (as far as we know) and the apes haven't taken over (also as far as we know) so the future is better than it could have been.
