Not hard, just time consuming. I do not have my own lathe or mill and I have been away from the shop long enough that I don't have benefit of using the equipment on my own time anymore. With shelling the piston, and cutting the slot, the cost in time would be more than the cost of new cylinders. But I am wondering if cutting them from stainless would be money ahead in the long run.
