Looking on ebay yesterday for driving light globes and came across some led lights that are replacements for "normal" globes. There was a range of sizes from the little dash light to tail/stop replacements. Some had staggered pins and some had straight pins - think they were about $7 each, but should outlast ordinary globes. Do a search for led auto replacement globes.
