Bed strips

I ordered the angle bed strips from VPW and the flat bed strips from Mar-K.

First the angle strips. How thick is the wood that goes in the bed? I need to give the guy welding them on for me the measurement to weld them on the sides. Dont want em up too high, dont want em down too low

Second, the flat bed strips. Has anyone bought the ones from Mar-K? Seems to me after looking at the direction of Clint, these have the holes in somewhat the wrong places. The holes are supposed to alternate on the cross members, these dont alternate, the outside ones are in one place, and the inside ones are different.

If any of that makes sense, can someone clear this up for me..
