As Vaughn said, they are comparable. This is logical because both were engineered and rated as 1 ton units. The other logic that exists is in age, how the units were used, and how they were maintained. You could conceivably find a very low mile original WDX unit, and you could also buy a very high mile Dana 70, due to the original purposes of the respective vehicles. The only way you will know these facts is to build your own, using new components. The 70 parts might be easier to get, may be more plentiful, and may cost less, but if originality matters, it's a no-brainer.
