I had the problem with my 67 w200 and fgound the drag link from the steering box to the knuckle was shot (non replaceable ends) found one from a Dodge dealer, installed it and problem went away. Next, check the tie rod for losse ends, this is a common cause of the wobble. On 4x4s, there are no 'king pins' there are 'trunion bearings' located on the top and bottom of the knuckle, on the older Dana 44f one is a bronze bushing and one is a bearing (i can't remember which is which) anyway, there is a shim pack on the top bearing to set the preload. A real easy way to check of they are loose is to jack up one side at the axle housing between the ball end and the spring, then with an assistant, try and wobble the tire up and down vertically while watching the knuckle housing and the ball housing, if the knuckle moves at all in and out at the top bearing, you need to replace the bearing and bushing or remove a shim and tighten down and try again. This may take a few tries but should remedy the problem. If you are by your self, take the tire off and try and move the hub assy. (You will need to check both sides) Good luck.
