First, congrats on the acquisition! You came to the right place for help. These guys have a wealth of knowledge about this old iron and are willing to share it too!
As far as manuals go, it's been my experience that there are many that cover a range of dates and specifics. There are many threads discussing the "best" manuals to get. Here is one that was directed at me and my "55". Many of these will cover yours as well.
Good luck with the project. Progress pics are required! lol.
