It seems to be a common issue with the old Mopars. I have been thru all the things and havent really ever figured out an exact fix for it. My 69 Charger has been A OK. My 71 Charger has had this issue for years. Idle things are dim and everything perks up as you drive. My old 74 Dodge truck started to have this issue and I simply cleaned a lot of stuff up and ran some ground wires from the various parts and it seemed to take care of it. Its like the chassis grounds are not what they once were.
