If they plumbed clean air supply into cold side inlet and fed boost into carb inlet it might work like belt driven centrifugal superchargers do. I don't know how you handle pressurizing the float bowl so it sees the proper psi differential as air speeds up thru the venturi to create proper fuel flow.
