Isn't that part of what On Star is, basically -- GPS plus data logger plus remote control of your car?
It could be worse. A friend just got back from Oman and brought a copy of the local paper. As of this year. Every car in Oman has to include an electronic speed ticketing device. What it comes down to is your car will fine you every time you speed. It monitors your speed and it knows what the speed limit on that road is. If you exceed the speed limit it beeps, and if you keep speeding for 15 seconds it will use SMS technology to tell the cops to send you a speeding ticket. Every 15 seconds you keep speeding will be another ticket. If you don't pay them, they'll be added to your registration fees.
