Years Back we serviced a Flat Fender Power Wagon for a Estate in Saucon Valley PA. Windy Way farms. The truck never was registered with no plate or inspection. My Dad and another would drive down to the farm and pick the Dodge up for service work. I was just a little Dodge Boy at the time. I would sit behind the wheel and pretend to drive her down the road. What adventures we had, it was a good time. The truck was used and abused, not a strait piece of sheet metal on her. One time my Dad left me change her oil. I made quiet a mess with that oil filter. It had a Good road plow on the front. I remember see those big hydraulic rams on the front. What were those I thought.Years past. The day came when the farm came up for SALE and there was to be a auction. I was 16 or 17 at the time. My Dad and I were going. The owner a widow and had many cars 57 Chevy, 48 Cadillac just a few. The time came for the Dodge. They had the plow blade hooked on the front. I remember a Big Massive Blade with steel casters on it. It sold for 700 hundred dollars and my Dad stopped at 500 hundred. I told him to keep going but he said the truck wasnt worth it. Was one of the worst days of my life. I still bug him about that sale to this day. Never found out or saw that truck again. Its a bitter sweat memory but that how it started. Behind the Wheel of a Dodge.
