Next time you run it until it stops, get out and open the gas cap, if you hear a hissing sound from air being sucked in as you open it, you need to vent the gas cap. Second thing already mentioned is to pull the choke out a bit as it dies and see if it keeps going - if it does the filter or pump or flexible gas line is suspect. The rubber lines can gradually suck closed, the old type can gradually deteriorate with modern gas as can the pump diaphragm or you may have a slight air leak at one of the fuel line joins.
