Congratulations on figuring out the problem. Your #1 terminal on the distributor is most likely off because your oil pump is out of position with the cam gear. I wouldn't worry about it at this point, but if you ever find yourself with nothing to do, you might want to time your oil pump to the engine. The archives contain the information you would need to get this done.
