I'm not sure of the exact date off the top of my head, but sometime during the C-1 production Dodge started using an electric temp gauge on the 2wds for sure. Of course it is possible that the PW didn't get the electric temp until the 6 volt 1955 C-3s. The problem is that I have not looked at enough temp gauges on original PWs from that crucial 1954-55 time period. There may be an exact answer in a book somewhere, but I never checked.

I do know that the 1955 6 Volt C-3 PWs got an electrical temp gauge and everything after that was electrical as well.
