Blown head gasket. Look for copper that has pulled away in the cylinder area, that will indicate warp head or block surface.

As far as cracks, you can take the head to a machinist for checking and repair. I use rusty metal primer sprayed heavy in the chamber and look for "V" lines in the paint indicating cracks. I use MG250 nickel stick for repair. If you're good with drill and hard rubber sanding disk, you can machine the head or block yourself using a straight edge from Jegs.com or have a machinist make you one. I prefer doing it myself, it produces a slight crown on the surface for better sealing.
