Sup0er, your doing well. Now get the Military TM for either the WC or M37 and follow it to the letter and you will not have a problem.
Now find some scrap steel and make 2 U Shape supports to hold the differential upright with the ring gear up and the yoke down....not touching the work bench, leave .500" between the work bench and yoke end. Be sure to drill the U Shape supports and run bolts through them and holes in the differential carrier flange. You want it stable so it does not tip over and hit your fingers or toes......OUCH ! YOu can clamp one side of one of the U Shape supports in a bench vise to lock her all in place.
Keep going your doing fine. See, there is no black magic inside.
