There's nothing wrong with pressure or vacuum bleeders.

It's just when you have a stubborn problem, sometimes it's just best to reduce it to its simplest possible form. When you remove as many variables as you can (e.g.,the pressure bleeder) you are making sure you haven't introduced an additional problem.

The only drawback of having someone pump the pedal is it takes two people. And, sometimes, just having an additional set of eyes and ears helps.

Using the pressure bleeding hasn't worked. I don't know that the pressure bleeder is causing a problem, but why not eliminate it as a possible cause? Then move on to what is probably causing the problem.

At this point, I'm not even sure what the symptoms of Sterling's problems are. Maybe, he could summarize where he is and the community here could offer suggestions anew.

After all, the FFPW brakes system is about as simple as it gets short of mechanical brakes.
