I've tried two different styles of spot weld drill bits. One is the type with a replaceable cutter and centering point. If you can keep it from walking it cuts fine. The trick is keeping it on point. I've used a center punch and predrilled slightly with poor to moderate success. The other is a solid bit ground to a low angle. New it cuts fairly well but it's slow. What else is out there that you've had good luck with? Primarily used to drill spot welds on bed angles. I don't want to drill through the bed side and have to weld that hole shut.
