They are one of those tools that you will wonder how you ever did without. I picked up a Miller 375 used locally for a stupid good deal. It's older but Miller hasn't changed the design in years, the newer torches are different but they are interchangeable.
The newer digital units are tiny and light, plus they can switch between 110 and 220 easily, but like Paul said they start about $900 and go up. Only plus side I found was that there wasn't a huge gap between each level. So their 125 was about $900 online, but there was only about $200 more to get to the 375X and another $200 or so got you the 675X.
