pre manual purchase

before getting a manual
should probably get an early edition of
Automotive Mechanics by William Crouse
my copy is a 3rd edition
a very good "how things work" text book
as it appears from a lot of the posts quite a
few do not really know "how things work" which is understandable as i doubt if many take "shop" classes any more
copies come up on ebay from time to time and are not very expensive. I have had mine for over 50 years
just a thought
