Sheesh...I've owned probably close to 50 PW's, brought most of them over the US Border & had them inspected by US Customs as well as our provincial vehicle inspection before they could be licensed...then I've sold most of my trucks back into the US & had them inspected again at the border & state inspections & not only has a frame number never been checked...most times they don't bother even checking the door tag.
These rules are in place to stop chop shops that are stealing Porsche's & BMW's...I really don't think anyone at the DMV really gives a crap if a restored truck needed to have a frame or a cab changed for whatever reason.
Go with the 52 cab & title & save yourself hours of aggravation dealing with moron's.
