Military hood doesn't mate well to civvie cab.

If the back edge of the military hood sits above the cowl, it's a civvie cab. The overlapped section of cowl should paralell the hood.

Also, look behind the drivers door for a patch welded in to cover the fuel filler hole.

So far as Ply tags go, the military did also use civvie style 4x2 pick ups.

Tags were usually on the glove box door, easily swappable.
