1941 WC cab ID?

I have a 1941 powerwagon with a 1940 plymouth pt105 commercial cab. Did the military use old civilian stock during initial production of the 1941 WC? Also my engine numbers aren't WC they are D-24 car numbers. Just trying to figure out if these were scavenged parts or GI setups.
