Custom built in 1965 by Decou Body Works, Delanco NJ.
Tank was converted to an ice box to fit two full half kegs of beer, or fill them with water. Or, one of each.
The truck has been a big hit at picnics, wetdowns, etc. The only reason I am selling it is to fund other projects.
The truck runs great, has 16,900 original miles on it. The paint could use some buffing on the hood and fenders, the carb may need a rebuild soon, and the brakes bleed down if it sits for over a month without being used. The drivers seat needs to be rebuilt. Other than that, the truck is in great shape and ready to use this Spring/Summer.
The sale includes a full compliment of equipment (hoses, hand tools, chains, snatch block, and other fire related stuff)
I did a frame off restore on it back in 2005, and it has been stored outside for the last two years. The pump runs great, but the carb on it needs to be rebuilt from sitting outside.
I can't watch it stay outside in the weather, so it really needs to go to a good home that will appreciate it more than we did.
The price is $10,000.00 firm, not a penny less.
Not interested in trades (not even Challenger stuff, if you can believe that).
Truck is available at my shop for inspection by appointment ONLY. Also, the decals will be removed prior to the sale.
