The biggest issue with the W-500 is the gearing - you're essentially stuck with the 6.80s, which is fine if you use the truck for something like what it was intended for.
But most guys want to drive them faster than 50 mph, if only to take them to shows. The solution is to mount an overdrive unit behind the t-case, but then you're getting into the high-dollar range.
i'd certainly recommend power steering, if not already so equipped, and maybe an airbag suspension, unless you're planning to haul a load of anvils around with you...
