A good friend and I were working on my '94 Sportster today trying to remove the front exhaust pipe. Badly rusted stud and nut in a tight spot where a socket would not fit. We tried the paraffin technique you have written about here. 1st attempt - nothing. Well, if a little is good, more is better. 2nd attempt - nut backed off like it was 1994 in Milwaukee. Made a believer out of two old rednecks who have worked on every kind of old iron there is at some point over the years.

PW content. Same friend helped me get my '77 M886 home today after it being away for too long. I have ruined my share of rusted fasteners on Power Wagons for sure but never again.

Paul thanks for the info and Joe thanks for the forum.
