OT Kohler vs Kawasaki small engine

Am looking at buying a zero turn mower. Mowers with Kawasaki engines cost more than equivelent mowers with Kohler engines. I have read that the Kohler Courage series engine has had issues with connecting rod failures. Has anyone here experienced such. I could post this in an appropriate "small engine" forum but I really respect and appreciate you's guys opinions. Thanks
