I wouldn't panic...should be as good as new.
I've heard good things about the new 6.4...sorry to hear. Ford makes excellent diesels & I was always surprised their trucks had IH engines.
Good luck, I'm sure they'll make it right.
Everyone has their preference of make & Ford has had a tough few years during the 6.0 era but they all build good trucks.
None of them I'd want to own over 200k miles anymore.
