This sounds like interesting stuff. I have never felt comfortable using pipe dope on brake and fuel lines (pipe threads into castings), and I've heard that some have had trouble with teflon tape clogging in fittings. I'll have to give this a try.
And as others have said, get a good quality double flare tool for your lines, and never use any sealants on flared connections.
