Because we were younger then and so many of our freedoms have been eroded that we couldn't do the same things now even if we were physically able. We are micro managed these days so we won't hurt ourselves. Although this old fart still manages to smack a finger with a hammer sometimes when working on my old Power Wagon. Enjoy what you can while you still can and put a smile on your face knowing how good it used to be when life was simpler.
