I was a michelin tire dealer for quite a while in my tire days
we bought a used revcon motor home in the early 90s had 2 almost new michelins and we
kept those and replaced the other 4
coming home from AZ one of the older tires
came apart. My wife parked the coach in the
cul-du-sac in front of the house and a bit later the other original blew oops.
our next coach was a Rexhall on a ford chassis with Michelin at about 30k they all developed cracking about the bead area when
we had them replace (michelin warranty) the
dealer also replaced the spare which still had the label on the tread explaining that the problem was an age issue even if the tire
had never seen the light of day
so there it is been there myself but to each
his own
