I haven't seen your tires but I have a set of new never mounted XZL's here & they're as new & structurally as sound as the day they were made. Any engineer on the planet would consider them new. That said, a numbers guy would consider them out of date & a DOT inspector would fine you if he saw & knew how to decipher the date code...as ridiculous & asinine as that is.
I wouldn't even give it 15 seconds of concern. In 10 more years they'll still look & run like new if you look after them properly.
Of course this is your other option....new Chinese reproductions on the way.
You can bet if this guy is Importing these things to Vancouver, you're going to see them everywhere by Summer.....Link below
