I don't drive old dodges on the freeway anymore. It feels like I'm on a tricycle at the racetrack.
I drove my WC and '48 between UT and WA a bunch when I was in college. On the hills, loaded semis went about the same speed as me. I met great people - especially veterans with war stories and the guys who helped out when my generator ate a bearing in LaGrande, OR in '84. And the not-so-great canadian hitchikers that rode in the back and threw beer cans at a cop car at a street cruise in Ogden, UT...
But no more. Traffic is too fast now and I'm smarter, or at least more nervous.
